Reflect

Course Enhancement (Microsurgery) is a part of the continuous improvement of all Courses across the College of Business and Law and wider University. From 2020, all courses will engage with this process. Making evidence-based decisions about your course is a key aim of Course Enhancement. The Learning and Teaching Portfolio will share a data pack in the lead up to Course Enhancement, but we encourage that you engage with other available data from industry, the literature, your colleagues and your own observations.

Plan

After you have spent time engaging with your available data, you will be invited to complete a Course Reflection Survey. This is where you can identify those enhancements that will make the most difference to the student experience and what support you would require to do this.

Following the completion of the Course Reflection Survey, a member of the Learning and Teaching Quality team will contact you again to either supply learning and teaching resources, notify you of available workshops, or put you in touch with other University services.

Implement

By this point, you should be equipped with the knowledge, resources and services needed to enhance your course for the upcoming semester.

Closing the loop

The final stage of Course Enhancement is a check-in to capture what changes you have implemented for the upcoming semester. This is an important step in the Quality Framework of the University and will feed into processes such as your Program’s Comprehensive and Annual Reviews.
